I don't mean fly tipping either! If you've got stuff to get rid of
them you're probably wondering how much it'd cost to just put it in
a skip and get rid of it.
One mans rubbish is another man's treasure.
Hire
a skip online - register and get discounts on skip hire.
When all else fails a skip is the only way!
A small skip can cost only £39 plus VAT which can save you
countless trips to the tip |
| Take it to the tip. You'll need a vehicle which gets under the
barrier - so no big lorries or vans, your car will have to do. The
problem happens when what you want to get rid of is too big to fit
in your car. |
Freecycle
- find out where your local freecycle group is and offer your junk
for free.
I have seen people offering rubble - broken bricks - and it's been
taken!
Describe it accurately so you don't get people disappointed! |
| Your local council - they will probably collect household items
- look them up online! |
| Recycling companies - set up to collect items, repair and then
resell. Some are charities. Some are not. |
| Local charity shop. I know our local charity shop doesn't take
TVs or monitors any more as if they need to be taken to the tip
there's a small charge! |
| Repair items where possible. |
| Sell items in Loot or other free listing magazines and papers |
Sell items on ebay! How
do I Sell on ebay? |
| Ask your council if they'll organise a kerbside collection for
furniture - you put out all the stuff you want to get rid of and
the council collects it, but not before everyone has a root through
and takes the stuff they want! |
Have a car boot sale with all your junk. Look in the free paper
for details of where they are and how much it costs. You do have
to get up early but you can make loads of money selling your junk!
Join forces with a friend if you don't have enough stuff. |
| Hold a garage sale or yard sale! |
| Advertise your junk on the supermarket notice board. These are
free usually for ads! |
