I've got one of these and it's really useful for cleaning
the upstairs windows, eliminating the need for a ladder,
and saving about £3.50 a week on a window cleaner.
You don't need to clean your windows every week though -
but you should keep them clean as it lets more light in
and this saves you turning the light on as soon!
Put a drop of washing up liquid in the hot water and use
gloves, especially if it's cold. Don't clean your windows
when it's really sunny though as some people think they
dry funny if the suns on them, but my main reason is that
there are better things to be doing when it's hot and sunny!
I've watched the neighbours windows get cleaned by the
window cleaner and although he's quick he's not desperately
thorough, is it any wonder some get the reputation and name
of Sinbad (Looks through port holes which are round, like
the way they clean square windows!)
If your uPVC window sills are looking shabby then a greeat
tip is to clean them with household cream cleaner. This
brings them up a treat and can also be used on the glass
if it's particularly grotty. It's harder work than just
washing them over though! |
